You can play together by using a VPN service. A very nice service for that is ZeroTier:
1) register at ZeroTier.
2) create a network at ZeroTier (you will get a Network Id)
3) install the ZeroTier app on all clients (you will get a Node Id)
4) whitelist all Node Ids on your network
5) join all clients to the network by using the Network Id
Then you are able to play together via the LAN mode
Thank you for this solution!
I also wanted to try out ZeroTier some time ago for a similar reason, but seemed to be not fully developed at that time. We also had some connection issues with the ZeroTier networks. Might look into it again if I need such a service in the future thanks to your report!
There are many other solutions like this. I remember from 15 years ago, we have used Hamachi for the same reason. But its good to know that some new development is still working for old multiplayer games
Thank you for the suggestions! ZeroTier worked quite well for me. It provides a decent User Experience and is also very configurable.
Thank you very much, works pretty Good !
In a number of different solutions, this seems to be the simplest and most effective. Thank you very much!
